Today I was pulling weeds in my backyard. I realized that the big weeds (the ones that grew the tallest and spread the furthest) were actually fairly easy to pull up. This was because the roots were so shallow. It kind of reminded me of some people in this world. They can come off real big, both egotistically and physically, and are completely 'shallow'. It also reminds me of some Christians in this world. They can look like this amazing follower of Christ and still be completely 'shallow' in their walk with Him, totally unaware of the spiritual walk that they have to start climbing...While the small weeds seemed to go deeper and therefore I had a harder time pulling them up.
I feel like this is my spiritual walk right now. What I might find to be a small problem is actually hindering my walk with the LORD in a big way! While the 'big' problems (or what I think to be big problems) HE has given me the strength to overcome them.
"I know God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much"
-Mother Teresa
While God knows we can handle a lot, we often over think, and give ourselves too much credit. He is in control of everything large and small. But, He knows us best and He knows what we can handle, more than we do.
SO GIVE IT ALL TO HIM, AND HE WILL DECIDE WHAT HE KNOWS YOU CAN DO...
